Methods for Assessing Racial/Ethnic Disproportionality in Special Education: A Technical Assistance Guide
- Provides an overview of the various disproportionality calculation methods, including relative difference in composition, risk, and the risk ratio. For each method, we summarize the question the method answers, provide at least two examples of its use, describe how to interpret the results, and discuss the method's strengths and limitations. The document was disseminated in Fall 2004.
